This past Sunday I had the chance to visit the Williamsburg Premium Outlets and had a blast!  I was able to go by myself without children and just got to wander around checking out all of the wonderful stores and deals-it was amazing!

After I met the ladies at customer service (who were super super sweet) I went on my way to visit the stores.  Every store I entered had someone greeting guests at the door and were eager to help with any questions.  Clerks were very friendly and very helpful.  I have mentioned to you before that I hate shopping for myself. When I happened to say this to the ladies  at Bebe and the White and Black Market shops, I was blown away by the service I received.  At both of these stores I was whisked back to a changing room and brought beautiful outfits to try on-and they fit!  I felt like it was the scene from Pretty Woman!  I could not believe that the ladies were so knowledgeable about their store’s items that they could just look at me and get my size right.  I can’t even walk into a store and know my exact size!

The customer service didn’t stop there. At every single store I visited, I was greeted and asked if I could be helped-every single store!  And believe me, I hit about 25 of them!  I was mesmerized by the Spring and Summer bag displays at Wilson Leather and Dooney & Bourke and was even given a pretty sweet swag bag from Mavado!  Their watch displays were out of this world as well!

You may be wondering how affordable the Williamsburg Premium shops are for someone on a budget.  I was shocked at the additional sales happening this past weekend.  Besides the Outlets’ already discounted prices, I was able to score even more savings at an extra 10-25% off!  I got an incredible amount of items for only $250!  Check out my haul below-it includes clothes for me, clothes for my boys (from the sweet ladies at Hartstrings), and even a pair of Vans shoes for the hubby (he’s always happy when I bring him home something from my shopping)!

FlipBelt-Review & Giveaway!

As a runner I am constantly trying to figure out the best way to carry my stuff.  I have tried both armbands and the SPIbelt  but have always been left with chaf marks on my back or arms from the products bouncing up and down from the weight of my phone.  At the Shamrock Marathon fitness expo I spied a solution to my seemingly never ending problem-the FlipBelt!

Basically the FlipBelt is the best way to go hands free while running and working out ( or really going anywhere and not having to worry about carrying your phone, keys, etc).  The belt is made of machine-washable high tech Spandex-Lycra blend material that is SOFT!  I mean really soft and comfortable.  It has an internal pocket system accessible from four openings around the outside of the belt and these openings do an amazing job of holding your stuff while you exercise!  After you slide the belt on (like a pair of pants), the directions say to  flip the belt inside out and everything gets locked in place.  However, the belt’s openings are so secure, I don’t even need to flip mine when running!

At first glance, I was skeptical….how would this belt be any different than everything else?  I seriously doubted the “no bounce” advertisement.    Well, let me tell you, it’s life changing!  The FlipBelt is so amazingly comfortable and it stays in place!  It fits my phone, my gels, my gum, and even my inhaler…all of which are necessities for me!  I have loved running outside with it and it also has solved my gym issue of those “dreadmill” runs!  No more sticking my phone in the treadmill and hoping it doesn’t pop out of the holder.  No more having wires all over in a tangled mess!  Now I can stick my phone right in the FlipBelt and not worry about my phone touching the treadmill germs (yes, I’m  a germaphobe)!  It also solves my issue of sometimes forgetting my stuff on the treadmill(whoops)!

I ordered the FlipBelt in black because nearly all of my exercise bottoms are black and I wanted it to blend in. If you’re more of a color person-have no fear, there are tons of bright and beautiful colors to choose from.  If you’re wondering how this non-adjustable belt fits everyone,  it comes in many different sizes. Their sizes range from extra small to extra large so you’re sure to find one just right for you!

Healthy After Schools Snack Ideas + Win $25 Whole Foods Gift Card!

School has been is session in my area for over a month and let me tell you, my son comes home STARVING!  I try my best to have snacks waiting for him that are healthy but did you know that research shows that kids are more likely to eat healthy snacks when they help to create them themselves?  I teamed up with Whole Foods to test this theory and found that as usual, research is correct!

has a ton of super easy and healthy meal ideas and I adjusted some of their snack ideas using my boys’ favorite items and they were a big hit!

Fancy Ants On A Log:

Ingredients:
Celery
Peanuts
Cranberries
Grapes
Honey

We simply covered the celery with peanut butter and Will dropped his favorite toppings on top-healthy and delicious!

“Strawberry Grahams”

Ingredients:
Graham Crackers
Peanut Butter
Strawberries
Honey

This snack was also simple!  We covered the graham crackers with peanut butter, put sliced strawberries on top, and Will drizzled the honey as a fun topping.

Right On The Walls: Wall Decals Review & $25 Giveaway!!!

As most of you know, we have been in moving chaos.  After finally moving in, the first rooms I HAD to get “done” were the boys’ bedrooms and the playroom.  After they were mainly unpacked, the decision was “What would go on the wall?!”  I immediately thought of . The family owned business carries a wide variety of original Vinyl art, color prints,car decals, and you can even custom order you own designs!  I had ordered from Right on the Walls for Zack’s nursery 2 years ago and knew I could count on the high quality and easy to use decals!  After spending a lot to time on their site (there is just so many cool things to check out) I found the perfect quote for the boys’ playroom!

For placement of the decal I chose a wall that needed a paint job (notice the chips) but one that I thought the decal would look nice on-I was right.  I absolutely love it!

Here is a picture of me figuring out placement of the decal.  Notice the tape in the middle of the paper.  If you choose a bigger decal like I did, the instructions state to do this method to ensure proper installation.

 

To get the decal on the wall took a total of 10 minutes-easy peasy!
